New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani seemingly confirmed Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding date during a Monday press conference when he remarked that the World Cup “coincides with July 4, America 250, and Taylor Swift’s wedding all happening at the same time.”

His comments confirm the rumors that the couple will marry over the Fourth of July weekend at Madison Square Garden.
According to multiple sources, the couple reportedly paid $3 million to rent the arena for three days for the expected 1,000 wedding guests.
The three days are set aside for setup, the actual wedding and the final day to take everything down.

Ms. Swift was spotted at Madison Square Garden last week at Game 4 of the NBA Finals alongside sisters Alana and Este Haim, who are among the expected 1,000 wedding guests.
Mr. Mamdani confirmed he will not actually be attending the wedding, saying, “I wish them a lovely wedding — I’ll listen to ’Only the Young’ at home on my own.”
