OPINION:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The choice this November is becoming as clear as a sunny Florida sky.<\/p>\n

Campaigns and elections often elucidate competing visions, but these midterms have put that truism on steroids for anyone to see who wants to see. Nowhere is this clearer than in the Democratic Party.<\/p>\n

Dead is the party of President Bill Clinton. Dead, even, is the party of President Barack Obama. What exists now is almost unrecognizable by any traditional American standards for a major political party.<\/p>\n

Let us look at the de facto positions in the Democratic Party and the political left that resides in it. Democratic politicians will dispute these, but the actions of their party completely support them:<\/p>\n

Open borders:<\/strong> This results in unlimited, unvetted immigration into America from Third World countries and hostile foreign actors. Democrats will claim they do not want open borders, but every action says otherwise.<\/p>\n

When last in power, under President Joe Biden, they threw open the borders to more than 10 million illegal aliens. They oppose building the wall, created an app to help masses of people get in easily, oppose every measure to secure the border, and want to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement and make most of their cities and states sanctuary locales. They can fuss all they want; I believe their actions over their words.<\/p>\n

Having essentially no national borders enforced in any real way is the end of a sovereign nation, the end of America. Democrats would undoubtedly get a lot more voters and probably control, but it would be pyrrhic.<\/p>\n

No photo voter ID:<\/strong> If you don\u2019t have to prove who you are, then anyone can vote anywhere and often. It is absurd, considering the laundry list of less important actions that require an ID, such as getting into the Democratic National Convention. Combine this position with the open borders position, and the equation becomes obvious.<\/p>\n

Court packing:<\/strong> Democratic leaders have repeatedly called to \u201cexpand\u201d the U.S. Supreme Court, largely because they do not like some of its decisions. No less than former Vice President Kamala Harris most recently pushed this. President Franklin D. Roosevelt floated this idea for the same reason in the 1930s, but his own Democratic Party slapped it down. That party no longer exists.<\/p>\n

Abolish the Electoral College:<\/strong> Relying on ignorance and rewriting of history, many leading Democrats and the base want to abolish the Electoral College and destroy all the balance it so brilliantly brought across this vast and disparate nation.<\/p>\n

Create more blue states:<\/strong> Granting statehood to Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia would be a lock to create four more Democratic seats in the Senate.<\/p>\n

Race-based everything:<\/strong> The Democrats have not given up on rewarding or penalizing Americans based on the immutable characteristics of race and sex. Theirs is the party of division for power. Disunity and animosity are the results, if not the goals, of diversity, equity and inclusion policies.<\/p>\n

Violence:<\/strong> Spasms of leftist street violence have plagued America for generations, but violence is becoming more and more acceptable among Democrats. Clear examples include the Black Lives Matter riots and burning of cities, the allowance of antifa, the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the ongoing, unprecedented assassination attempts on President Trump, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries calling for \u201cmaximum warfare,\u201d and Sen. Christopher Murphy saying Democrats need to do \u201cwhatever is necessary\u201d to stop Republicans.<\/p>\n

This vision for America is unrecognizable and not what most Americans want. None of these positions is popular with Americans outside the Democratic Party\u2019s radical base, but most Americans are unaware of them.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, there is an option for Floridians and all Americans, and it operates under the wonderfully hopeful label of Make America Great Again. It is a vision of hope for a better future based on what made America exceptional in the first place: individual liberties, economic freedoms, rights coming from God, not the government, and equal protection.<\/p>\n

The Republican Party continues its conservative roots of not judging people based on skin color. We are focused on economic prosperity for actual Americans, protecting American workers from illegal aliens who drive down wages and unfair trade practices, making communities safe, lowering the cost of living and making America great again.<\/p>\n

The Republican Party is the party of hope and optimism. The Democratic Party is the party of dystopian despair and the destruction of traditional America.<\/p>\n
