In any event, it will be a \u201cHOT\u201d ticket!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Trump said the rescheduled dinner will take place at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, a hotel and ballroom that he helped build.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier Tuesday, Ms. Jiang announced that the rescheduled dinner will take place next month, saying that it will feature \u201cenhanced safety measures and access procedures.\u201d She also did not confirm that the dinner will take place at the Waldorf Astoria, saying a venue will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen gunfire interrupted this year\u2019s event, it further clarified the WHCA\u2019s mission to advocate for the freedoms that are protected in the First Amendment. We will not allow an act of violence to have the last word, especially during a year when we are reflecting on the 250th anniversary of America and everything we stand for,\u201d Ms. Jiang said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis dinner will not only be an opportunity to carry out our program. It will be a statement that violence has no place in American life and a free press will not be intimidated into silence. As you have all demonstrated, courage and community can and should rise above,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Jiang added that rescheduling the dinner \u201cwas not automatic,\u201d but rather \u201ca choice the WHCA board made after thoughtful consideration and input from members.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/homebuyerrelocation.com\/?p=1109\">Taylor Swift announces new song for \u2018Toy Story 5\u2019 movie<\/a><\/p>\n<p>She said the dinner will be \u201ca more intimate gathering\u201d and WHCA members who bought tickets to the April dinner will not have to pay for the second event.<\/p>\n<p>The April dinner was the first time Mr. Trump attended the event as president, skipping it entirely during his first term and the first year of his second term.<\/p>\n<p>After the shooting, Mr. Trump urged the WHCA to host a second event within 30 days of the April dinner.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Trump told \u201c60 Minutes\u201d last month that he thought it was necessary to redo the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not that I wanna go. \u2026 I\u2019m very busy. I don\u2019t need that.
