He predicted it will end in \u201chunger and squalor and death and destruction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also said the dramatic crime reductions in the District of Columbia, Memphis and New Orleans are proof that his federal intervention model works.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Trump asked a reporter in the Oval Office to read aloud a Truth Social post he said he personally wrote, which compared the trajectory of liberal-governed cities to communist regimes: initial popularity followed by \u201cdeath and destruction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He cited Memphis, where he said crime is down approximately 72%, crediting his administration\u2019s intervention, and noted the governor of Tennessee visited the White House to thank Trump for the results.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/homebuyerrelocation.com\/?p=1176\">California tech CEO arrested after feds say he supplied sanctioned computer equipment to Iran<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He also said the District of Columbia has been transformed in 14 months following the removal of \u201cclose to 5,000 hardline criminals,\u201d many of whom he said entered through what he called \u201cBiden\u2019s open border\u201d policy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t forget, 2% of your people create 90% of your crime. That\u2019s not good,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Trump also cited federal intervention in New Orleans \u2014 including National Guard deployed at the request of Gov. Jeff Landry \u2014 as producing what he called the safest Mardi Gras the city has ever had.<\/p>\n<p>He singled out Illinois Gov. J.B.
