A man convicted on eight counts related to a cargo theft conspiracy received a sentence of almost eight years in prison.<\/p>\n

Salahudin Reddy, 39, was sentenced on Thursday to 94 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said in a release on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Reddy pleaded guilty in March to four counts of theft from an interstate shipment and to one count each of possession of items stolen from interstate shipments, theft of government money, possession of stolen government money and conspiracy, federal prosecutors said.<\/p>\n

From January through July 2023, Reddy and others used tools, including bolt cutters, to break into tractor-trailers around Philadelphia. Reddy and the co-defendants, who were not named in the U.S. attorney\u2019s office release, then sold the goods.<\/p>\n
