President Trump traveled to Pennsylvania on Tuesday to back Rep. Ryan Mackenzie\u2019s reelection bid, but joked with the incumbent Republican that an audience of his constituents didn\u2019t want to hear from him.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a rally in Lower Macungie, Pennsylvania, which sits in Mr. Mackenzie\u2019s district, the president urged voters to support the congressman.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got to Ryan Mackenzie elected,\u201d Mr. Trump said, urging the lawmaker to come to the podium.<\/p>\n

But Mr. Trump quickly chided the freshman lawmaker that he needed to \u201crun\u201d to the podium and keep his remarks brief.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one wants to hear from you, Ryan,\u201d Mr. Trump teased, reminding him \u201cto get up here fast.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr. Mackenzie did keep his remarks short.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are the president that is fighting for all Americans! Thank you for being here, sir,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreat job,\u201d Mr. Trump said, smiling and quickly escorting Mr. Mackenzie offstage. \u201cThat was great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier in the rally, Mr. Trump urged attendees to cast their vote for Mr. Mackenzie, but did not mention him by name.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got to get a certain very talented congressman reelected. We\u2019ve got to get him. Where are you? Where are you, Mr. Congressman? We\u2019ve got to get you back in,\u201d the president said.<\/p>\n

Mr. Mackenzie is facing a challenge from Democratic candidate Bob Brooks, president of the state\u2019s firefighter union, in November.<\/p>\n
