Bernard Sanders has joined the chorus of elected leaders calling on Graham Platner to drop out of the Maine Senate race \u2014 a move that could put a final nail in the Democrat\u2019s political coffin and clear the way for the state party to pick a replacement.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/homebuyerrelocation.com\/?p=3652\">Trump lays into NATO allies at summit kickoff, says Europe is \u2018a very different place\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Sanders, a Vermont independent, has been Mr. Platner\u2019s most high-profile surrogate, helping boost his image among grassroots activists and burnish his far-left credentials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have spoken with Graham Platner about the best path forward for Maine,\u201d Mr. Sanders said. \u201cIn the light of these very serious allegations, I have recommended that he step aside.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Sanders\u2019 decision added to the sense that it\u2019s only a matter of time before Mr. Platner pulls the plug on his tumultuous campaign. Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Rep.
