Elon Musk announced on X that his artificial intelligence tool Grok Imagine will produce a \u201chistorically accurate\u201d full-length film of Homer\u2019s ancient Greek poem before the end of the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The trillionaire shared the announcement alongside an AI-generated short of the story posted by an X user.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This follows Mr. Musk\u2019s earlier public criticism of Christopher Nolan\u2019s film adaptation, including objections to the casting of Lupita Nyong\u2019o as Helen of Troy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In May, Mr. Musk wrote a response in which he called Mr. Nolan an \u201canti-White racist\u201d and said the filmmaker\u2019s decision to cast a Black woman was because he \u201cwants the awards.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr. Nolan\u2019s \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d has performed strongly at the box office, earning $264 million in its worldwide opening weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The film\u2019s cast includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Ms. Nyong\u2019o, Page, Jon Bernthal, Charlize Theron, Samantha Morton and John Leguizamo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr. Nolan responded to the casting backlash by calling these prescreening arguments \u201cirrelevant,\u201d because no one holding those opinions had actually seen the film.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr. Musk\u2019s post did not include further details on the production timeline or how the AI version would be made.<\/p>\n
