From a just-released report \u201cCuba: The Capital of 21st Century Communism,\u201d compiled by the U.S. State Department \u2014 this: \u201cFor nearly seven decades, the Cuban regime has waged a sustained campaign of subversion against the United States. It is a campaign that has infiltrated the highest reaches of the U.S. government, recruited and cultivated generations of American activists, backed an unprecedented wave of left-wing terrorism on American soil, and carried out one of the most durable and damaging foreign intelligence penetrations in American history.<\/p>\n

For nearly seven decades \u2014 that means Obama knew of Cuba\u2019s intent to undercut the U.S. government, but he threw open doors to normalize relations anyway.<\/p>\n

Thank goodness a new administration is seeking the danger and calling out the danger.<\/p>\n

\u201cCommunism is a mortal threat to American liberty,\u201d President Trump said during a July 3 speech at Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota. \u201cIt is the greatest threat to our country, including World War I, World War II, Pearl Harbor or even 9\/11.\u201d<\/p>\n

He\u2019s quite right.<\/p>\n

Those were wars of military might and fight.<\/p>\n

Communism is a propaganda-driven war for the heart, soul and mind of a citizenry \u2014 to sell the uninformed, undereducated, ignorant members of society on the beauty of free stuff and easy living while robbing the lovers of freedom and creators and producers and ingenious entrepreneurs of all their rightful earnings.<\/p>\n

But back to Cuba.<\/p>\n

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced new sanctions on several of \u201cthe corrupt Cuban communist regime and its financial backers\u201d this week, the latest U.S. move in line with Trump\u2019s Executive Order 14404 that authorized sweeping actions against Cuba-tied individuals or entities that threatened America\u2019s national security \u2014 including \u201cagainst persons who support the Cuban regime\u2019s security apparatus.\u201d Hmm. Next stop, Hollywood?<\/p>\n

Cuba\u2019s communists have been a busy bunch.<\/p>\n

As Rubio said, \u201cThe Cuban regime\u2019s sprawling intelligence and ideological network helped to build the far-left in our country and in our hemisphere, and it remains inextricably linked to the far-left groups and movements across and beyond the West.\u201d<\/p>\n

The report lays bare the long-term efforts of Cuban communists to focus on societal and cultural change \u2014 targeting ideologies, rather than using military operations \u2014 to crumble U.S. freedoms. In other words, Cuba knows it can\u2019t beat America\u2019s military, so it instead sends subversives into America\u2019s universities, government offices, political institutions.<\/p>\n

Among the named collaborators with the communist country: Code Pink. Antifa. Oh \u2014 and today\u2019s emerging favorite: the Democratic Socialists of America. Not surprising.<\/p>\n

Like all the leftists do \u2014 including the Democrats \u2014 Cuba\u2019s communists use Americans\u2019 freedoms to destroy. They cite the First Amendment\u2019s freedom of speech as justification for taking to the streets and screaming insanities at passersby. They lay claim to the First Amendment\u2019s right to assemble to swoop into ICE operations and upset law enforcement \u2014 conveniently ignoring the fact that the Constitution specifically states \u201cpeaceably\u201d in reference to the right to assemble. They hold fast to the First Amendment\u2019s right to petition the government while calling on their angry, emotion-driven minions to storm-troop Republicans and conservatives and especially MAGAs and Supreme Court justices who oppose Roe v. Wade at their homes, at their places of work, at their places of dining and again, scream insanities.<\/p>\n

And newer but growing ever more alarming, they grab tight to the First Amendment\u2019s protection of religious freedom while joining hand-in-hand with the antisemites and Islamists and Muslim radicals who are currently using the Democrat Party to spread shariah and destroy the West and devastate the Constitution. This red-green alliance \u2014 it\u2019s the communists\u2019 next tool to subjugate and rule.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe US State Department has listed several activists and organizations as \u2018front groups and fellow travelers\u2019 for Cuba, including [influencer] Hasan Piker and the Amazon Labor Union founder Chris Smalls,\u201d The Guardian reported.<\/p>\n

Rep. Ilhan Omar\u2019s daughter, Isra Hirsi, is named. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is named. Journalist Amy Goodman is named.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not that Americans were unaware of the links between violent leftist activists and the nonprofits and foundations that fund them \u2014 and later, that defend them in court. It\u2019s that this report now gives the data and names that highlight the extent of communists\u2019 infiltration in America.<\/p>\n

Before Trump leaves office, there\u2019s an opportunity to take decisive action and not just reel in the communist threat, but reel it in so intensely that it won\u2019t rear its head in the United States for decades. And Americans themselves can help by getting back to church and by reading the Bible. Communism cannot exist in a country of believers who know their rights and liberties come from God.<\/p>\n
