{"id":612,"date":"2026-05-27T10:07:28","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T10:07:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/homebuyerrelocation.com\/?p=612"},"modified":"2026-05-27T10:07:28","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T10:07:28","slug":"california-owner-of-trump-themed-home-dies-in-hospital-after-unprovoked-attack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/homebuyerrelocation.com\/?p=612","title":{"rendered":"California owner of Trump-themed home dies in hospital after unprovoked attack"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>A Southern California man who was attacked by a stranger outside of his President Trump-themed home has died of his injuries, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/homebuyerrelocation.com\/?p=610\">Woman fired by Indiana university over Charlie Kirk post to receive $225,000 legal settlement<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Escondido police said Kerry Sheron, a 69-year-old Army veteran, died Sunday in a hospital after a man beat him during the incident last week at the house adorned with pro-Trump flags and signs.<\/p>\n<p>Police arrested and charged Thomas Caleb Butler, 32, in the unprovoked attack that saw the assailant knock down the victim with a punch to his jaw and then hit him several more times over the head.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Butler pleaded not guilty Friday to attempted first-degree murder, battery, threats and elder abuse causing great bodily injury. The suspect remains behind bars.<\/p>\n<p>The San Diego County District Attorney\u2019s Office has not announced new charges following Mr. Sheron\u2019s death over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/homebuyerrelocation.com\/?p=608\">Trump administration raises U.S. refugee cap, but only for white South Africans<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe tried to kill my husband, you know,\u201d Maria Garcia, Mr. Sheron\u2019s wife, told local CBS affiliate KFMB-TV. \u201cIt\u2019s terrible.
