“Alaskan Bush People” star Matt Brown was found dead near a river in Washington state on Saturday after a dayslong search, news outlets report.

Searchers found Mr. Brown’s body along the Okanogan River in the north-central part of the state. His brother, Noah, was among those searching, and he identified the remains.
A cause of death was not disclosed.
Mr. Brown’s brother Bear confirmed the news, saying he never would have expected his brother to hurt himself despite having a long history of drug and alcohol addiction.

Matt Brown was one of the original stars of the Discovery Channel’s “Alaskan Bush People,” which followed the Brown family living an off-grid lifestyle in the Alaskan wilderness. The show ran for 14 seasons before ending in 2022.
