The “Cheers” and “Frasier” star said that he was there to promote an upcoming movie, but did not offer more details.
Mr. Grammer will play Lord Fairfax, the unofficial leader of the Virginia gentry in the upcoming film “Young Washington.” The movie about George Washington’s early years hits theaters on July 3. However, Mr. Grammer did not say if that was the film he was there to discuss.
The 71-year-old actor is an outspoken Republican and an ardent Trump supporter. Earlier this week, he slammed critics of the president’s $14.8 million restoration of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Mr. Grammer told Fox News that a “small number” of people “just want to tear things down.”
“They’ve been consumed by hatred, and of course, hatred ends up basically destroying you,” he said on “Jesse Watters Primetime.”
He’s also acknowledged that he has considered the idea of running for office.
“I would consider it. It would possibly tick that box for me, in terms of the service I feel I should have given to my fellow man – to my fellow countrymen – that I missed the military,” Mr. Grammer said. “Maybe [running for office] would be the way to do it.”
