The film is described as a coming-of-age story set in a digital world, with Norwood playing an AI character that has access to human backstories but no actual lived experience. No timeline has been given for the release of the film.
The project was founded by Eline Van der Velden, a former actor who founded Particle6, the studio that developed Norwood.
Norwood was created in 2025 after the studio had worked on 2,000 versions of the AI actress.
Particle6 said in a statement that the movie project will use traditional filmmakers alongside AI specialists. The project aims to show that artificial intelligence can support filmmaking when paired with substantial human skill and judgment.

The studio also said the film explores identity, performance and human anxieties about AI.
Norwood’s emergence has drawn backlash from film industry professionals who argue that acting roles should go to humans, with SAG-AFTRA stating it does not consider Norwood an actor.
The actors union’s AI concerns were a central issue in the 2023 strike against major studios.
