Police in San Francisco arrested a man after a rideshare driver tipped them off to a backpack full of drugs left in the vehicle.

The rideshare driver alerted police to the backpack at 2:09 p.m. Sunday. Upon searching the backpack, officers found the methamphetamine, the San Francisco Police Department said in a release Tuesday.
The police then worked with the driver to get the backpack returned to a motel where the passenger, Jessie Ottman-Combs, 41, was staying.

The officers arrested Mr. Ottman-Combs once they found 355 grams of methamphetamine in the motel room, police said.
Mr. Ottman-Combs was booked into the San Francisco County Jail and is facing charges of transporting or selling methamphetamine, possessing methamphetamine and possessing drug paraphernalia.
