The Montgomery County Police Department arrested a Silver Spring man accused of dealing drugs as well as committing identity theft.

County police said in a release Friday that Wildy Cherubin, 38, was arrested on July 8.
While executing search warrants on July 8 and July 9, police and Drug Enforcement Administration agents found around 4.6 pounds of powder cocaine, around 11 grams of crack cocaine, about 4 pounds of marijuana, roughly $8,400, a gun, a magazine and ammunition.

In addition, police determined that Mr. Cherubin, alias “Young Weegi,” used stolen identities to conceal criminal acts and to rent an apartment. He is now being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit without bond.
Mr. Cherubin’s latest arrest is not his first on drug charges.
In 2011, Mr. Cherubin, then using the alias “Gordito,” was sentenced in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland to 10 years in prison and four years of supervised release for dealing powder cocaine and crack cocaine over a four-month span in 2010 across Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, per a release in the FBI archives.
