“She’ll turn Karnes ICE Detention Center into a prison for American Zionists and former ICE officers for human trafficking,” Democratic candidate Maureen Galindo said on Instagram, referring to herself in the third person.
“It will also be a castration processing center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists,” she said.
Ms. Galindo, a sex therapist and housing activist, is running in the Democratic primary in Texas’ redrawn 35th Congressional District.
Her anti-Semitic remarks have caught the eye of liberal outlets, including the editorial pages of The New York Times, which have called on Democrats not to allow Ms. Galindo to win the May 26 runoff election.
In subsequent Instagram posts, Ms. Galindo accused her runoff opponent, former Bexar County Public Information Officer Johnny Garcia, of being part of a human trafficking conspiracy created by wealthy Zionist Jews.

“Johnny Garcia consistently endorses ICE operations —> Johnny Garcia supports human trafficking and prison industries,” she wrote.
She added, “Johnny Garcia was paid to campaign with Israeli, ICE, and prison industry money —> Johnny Garcia protects Zionist trafficking networks as Bexar County’s Public Relations Officer.”
She has also said that a group of Jewish Zionists controls Hollywood, the media and political figures.
The Washington Times reached out to Ms. Galindo for comment.
Meanwhile, her campaign finances are in the red. She raised $10,917 since she launched her campaign, spent over $18,000 and is over $3,200 in debt, according to filings with the Federal Elections Commission.
