Money, policy wed Democrats to anti-American socialists

Do not let Democrats mislead you into thinking that the socialist movement sweeping the media, universities and New York is separate from the practical, down-to-earth Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party and Democratic Socialists of America are increasingly intertwined by money and ideology.

DSA wants to get rid of the police. Democrats started the “defund the police” movement in 2020. Socialists want open borders. President Biden opened the southern border.

Socialists hate Israel. Democrats have become the anti-Israel party. Socialists protect criminals. Democrats give sanctuary to violent illegal aliens.

At the basic government level, the invention called diversity, equity and inclusion, the leading Democratic ideology, is nothing more than cloaked Marxism and socialism. Karl Marx condemned “merit.” DEI destroys the idea and replaces it with racially and politically based promotions.

Neville Roy Singham is the financier of Marxist thought in America. He funds Democrats and nonprofits that do Democrats’ dirty work.

Mr. Singham made hundreds of millions of dollars as an American tech bro and then decamped to Shanghai in 2017 to disseminate his communist ideology long-distance. He had his fun as a capitalist and now tells America to go Marxist — you know, the system that leads to authoritarianism, misery and mass death. Every time.

That same year, Mr. Singham married like-minded Jodie Evans, who co-founded the disruptive left-wing group Code Pink in 2002.

A Washington Times review of federal election records shows that the Marxist Mr. Singham has donated to a number of progressive Democrats, including Barack Obama for his 2008 presidential campaign and Reps. Barbara Lee, Ilhan Omar and Pramila Jayapal.

Ms. Jayapal, who speaks for socialist Seattle, was his favorite. He backed her House campaigns from 2016 to 2021 with five donations of more than $10,000.

On CNN, Ms. Jayapal welcomed the primary-winning socialists, talked of a “big tent” party and bashed moderate Democrats.

Over the past 20 years, Ms. Evans has made 220 political contributions totaling $180,000 to Democratic candidates and the party apparatus.

In the wings is another DSA favorite, Democrat Francesca Hong, who just might be the next Wisconsin governor. She wants to abolish the police and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Besides financing Democrats directly, Mr. Singham also backs urban chaos by funding left-wing protest groups. That funding also helps Democrats in their various wars against President Trump and law enforcement, and their protection of foreign criminals.

Most notable is The People’s Forum, the communist nonprofit that extols China’s police state, to which Mr. Singham gave $20 million, according to federal records.

“The U.S. and Israel are carrying out an unprovoked, illegal bombing campaign on Iran,” The People’s Forum posted on X as it mimicked Democrats and prepared for a New York City protest.

Do you see why Mr. Trump is right to use the words socialism and communism interchangeably?

With three House primary wins in New York City and Colorado, the DSA believes it is catching fire at the ballot box by attracting 20-something Democrats.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, a Democrat, told public broadcasting that everyone in the world — all 8 billion people — has a right to land in America. In other words, like socialists, she wants our demise because what she endorsed is the American apocalypse.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Michigan Democrat and DSA fan, condemns America.

Wearing a kaffiyeh, she told the People’s Conference for Palestine in August 2025: “Look at this room, motherf—-ers. We aren’t going anywhere. … The political structures that I have to work in, that we are surrounded by, were built on slavery and genocide and rape and oppression.”

Another darling of the Democratic Party is Mahmoud Khalil, who was on some sort of endless student visa at Columbia University, which nurtures anti-Americanism.

Mr. Khalil was the chief negotiator and spokesman for the hideous group Columbia University Apartheid Divest, a pro-Hamas gaggle of anti-Jews.

As the pro-Hamas crowd was harassing Jewish students at Columbia, the organization posted a statement on Aug. 7, 2024, that said, “We are Westerners fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization.” That would include America.

Then there is the communist-Democratic-linked Hasan Piker. He is an incendiary streamer and political commentator and wildly flamboyant activist who called for the killing of Sen. Rick Scott, Florida Republican. On a New York Times podcast, he urged shoplifting (stealing). There was no pushback.

Mr. Piker, the son of wealthy Turkish parents, has traveled to Michigan to campaign for Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, to Missouri for former Rep. Cori Bush and to New Jersey for Democratic nominee Adam Hamawy.

Mr. Piker says Americans deserved the 9/11 attack by al Qaeda. Jewish groups say Mr. Hamawy, a former U.S. Army combat medic and trauma surgeon, worked at an al Qaeda front group in Bosnia.

That Democrats are chummy with Messrs. Singham, Khalil, Piker and others who hate America tells you where the party stews today. It is embracing socialism on the gamble that university-brainwashed Gen Zs and millennials will win them elections.
